Upgrading an FX40 1.2 Station to FX Workbench 2.0

What the Upgrade Station Does

An enhancement was made in the core software of the FX40 that changes the internal file system functionality. The updated file system now uses a base file block size of 1024 bytes where it used to be 512 bytes. With this change in file block size, it is necessary to reduce the overall number of files stored within a station. This upgrade tool can be used to reduce the number of files in a station by removing files that should not be needed on a running station. This file reduction process is necessary in order to avoid seeing a new warning message indicating that the station is running low on available disk space. This upgrade process will perform following steps:

NOTE: This upgrade process WILL NOT upgrade an FX Workbench 1.0 or 1.1 Station! Follow the steps to Upgrade your Station to FX Workbench 1.2 FIRST and then follow these steps to Upgrade to FX Workbench 2.0. Failure to do so may cause issues with your Station.
