If a QNX-based JACE station, and if licensed for BACnet MS/TP (see Bacnet MS/TP licensing), you can add one or more Mstp Ports from the bacnet palette (see Figure 3). Each Mstp Port container provides for BACnet MS/TP communications as a “master” type device, and supports one network trunk of BACnet MS/TP devices. See Figure 7 for a property sheet.

You must configure Link properties to specify the JACE serial port used, as well as other serial communications parameters. In addition, other MS/TP master parameters may require configuration.

Up to 4 Mstp Ports are supported, depending on host JACE platform, as well as licensing considerations. As with other Bacnet network ports, each Mstp Port has its own, independent Poll Scheduler (Poll Service). See “About poll components” in the Drivers Guide for more details.
