On any host, NTP requires the use of UDP port 123—this port is not configurable. On a QNX-based JACE this is not an issue. However, on a Windows or Linux host platform, you typically need to make the necessary firewall exception or “iptable” entry to allow UDP port 123 traffic.
Otherwise, NTP time synchronization can fail because of firewall-blocked messages.
